OHCC is a self-help club that expects members to volunteer time and effort to help run events and maintain and improve the club’s buildings, grounds and equipment. Members are required to cut the grass on their boats’ berths including the driveways and common areas, and to keep their boats properly covered with the bow elevated to ensure that no standing water is present that might attract mosquito larvae. All members’ boats, covers, trailers, dollies, and any other personal property stored on the club’s grounds must be maintained in a state of good repair. During the sailing season all masts are to be stepped on members’ boats or stored on the mast rack. Failure to carry out these responsibilities will result in the club taking appropriate action, which may result in loss or non-renewal of membership.
