Learning Sailing

The topography of Outer Harbour combined with the shorelines natural wind barriers provides the perfect venue for sailors to enjoy the challenges of recreational dinghy sailing. At OHCC are two learning partners, Sailing Fanatics and the OHSF Youth Water Sports Program.

Sailing Fanatics

OHCC has partnered with Sailing Fanatics to provide expert instruction on the clubs property to those who need a refresher course, courses to improve their skills, or coaching to improve their sailing or racing skills. Contact Tom Winskell at sailingfanatics.ca for further details.

Formal sailing courses are also available nearby at Westwood Sailing Club, Mooredale Sailing Club and St James Town Sailing Club.

OHSF Youth Water Sports Program

The Youth Water Sports Program is for children and youth aged 7-18. The FUN and FUNdamentals Water Sports Camp is built with the community spirit of and contributions from all Outer Harbour Sailing Federation member clubs. Our objective is to provide Toronto’s youth with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge leading to a life-long enjoyment of our sports. Campers can choose to row, sail, windsurf or combine all three sports by taking half-day courses. Please tell your friends and family about the water sports camp and have them register their kids before May 1st to enjoy a 10% discount.
